Design guidelines and workshop organization

Primary objectives:
Preparation and publication of a handbook for the seismic design of the proposed innovative HCW systems;
Preparation of a pre-normative document consistent with Eurocode 8;
Dissemination of the results of the research project and its implications for the design.
The scientific outcomes were presented and discussed in a special HYCAD session during the Eurosteel 2023 conference in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
A hybrid workshop named “HYCAD: design and construction” was organized on 30th November, 2023, in Verona, Italy;
A design handbook was prepared and distributed during the workshop;
A pre-normative document was prepared in accordance with Eurocode 8
The Universiteit van Vlaanderen was invited at the Applicatiecentrum beton en bouw (the testing laboratory), Universiteit Hasselt – Campus Diepenbeek, for media coverage of a full-scale test on the innovative HCW systems for public dissemination.
The innovative research aspects were discussed in the Meeting of the Belgian Seismic Group, Brussels, on 8th November, 2023
Research articles were published/submitted to eminent journals and well-known conferences.
